ROLLER CHAINS DIN 8187, 8188

The advantages of roller chains:

  • Wide application range as drive, conveyor and hoisting chains
  • A variety of different functions by using attachments on special chains
  • Robustness to temperature influences and soiling
  • Positive locking trasmission without slip
  • Cost effectiveness
  • Excellent applicaion range through different chain sizes and use as siimplex and multiplex roller chains
  • Multiple transmission ratios
  • Long shaft distances possible, eg. for conveying systems
  • Life cycle limits indicated by chain elongation
  • Problem-free shortening and lengthening of chains
  • Drive on either side possible
  • No pre-tensioning required, therefore no static bearing loads
  • Resistance to fire
Product range:
  • Roller chains (European type) according to DIN 8187 corresponding to ISO 606
  • Roller chains (American type) according to DIN 8188 corresponding to ISO 606
  • Power chains type series HX
  • Special heavy duty chains
  • Roller chains type series GL with straight plates
  • Roller chains type series RF made of stainless and acid resistant steel
  • Maintenance-free roller chains Marathin MA
  • Easily breakable chains EB (easy break)

  • Roller chains made to specifications

The use of suitable and functional coatings will considerably extend the application limits of roller chains. Depending on the respective application, chain components can be chemically nickel-plated, galvanized, yellow alodined or coated with zinc-flake layer in order to notably improve corrosion protection. To increase wear resistance we have the possibility to chemically nickel-plate, nitrate or borate the chain pins. Roller chains made of stainless and acid resistant steel are particularly suitable for drives susceptible to corrosion as well as for extremely high and low temperatures.
